A crowd favorite visited Turnau at the start of the Christmas season:

To kick off the pre-Christmas events, the market town of Turnau hosted a gala evening with audience favorite Heinz Marecek in the multi-purpose hall. Marecek, who celebrated his 80th birthday this year and was appointed a Kammerschauspieler (a prestigious title for actors in private theatre), presented his program "A Feast of Laughter".

He recounted Christmases that hadn't gone as planned and quoted Loriot, Friedrich Torberg, Werner Schneyder, Hugo Wiener, and other great masters of humor. The enthusiastic audience enjoyed a special evening full of humor, charm, and literary finesse.

Afterwards, the stage star gave autographs, signed his books and entered his name in the Golden Book of the market town.
