Mayor Hofer receives the Styrian Florian Medal in Silver:
The acquisition of a new crew transport vehicle by the Turnau Volunteer Fire Department was celebrated with a Holy Mass and a ceremony at the fire station. Mayor Stefan Hofer was awarded the Styrian Florian Medal in Silver for his dedication to the fire department.
“On behalf of all the firefighters, I would like to thank our commander, Chief Inspector Bernd Fladischer, for the excellent cooperation. The fire department is a prime example of how cooperation and solidarity are Turnau’s greatest strengths,” said the mayor.
With the acquisition of the new crew transport vehicle, the modernization of the Turnau fire department's fleet is now complete. Including the fire station, which was newly built in 2017, the Turnau fire department has state-of-the-art infrastructure for its vital work.
