The local council invited those celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries to a joint celebration:

Twice a year, the Turnau municipal council invites local residents celebrating birthdays and wedding anniversaries to a joint celebration. The duo "Fritz and Franz" provided the music, and local poet Maria Schneider entertained with her evocative texts.

It was a special afternoon for Agnes Schmied, as she was celebrating her 99th birthday that very day. As a gift, she received a birthday cake from the Seidl confectionery.

"Our community is strong and successful thanks to the cohesion and cooperation of the people in Turnau. The anniversary celebrations are always a good opportunity to thank our older generation for their work for the benefit of our home and to spend an afternoon together with them," said Mayor Stefan Hofer.
