17 children are attending the 1st grade elementary school in Turnau this year:
To mark the start of the new school year, Mayor Stefan Hofer traditionally visits the first-graders at Turnau Elementary School. In addition to presenting them with small gifts, the mayor wished them success in this new phase of their lives.
Financial support for the start of school!
In the 2025/26 school year, the municipality of Turnau will continue to provide a voluntary school start-up grant for every school-age child between the first and ninth grades. This grant is intended to support the purchase of school supplies and will be awarded in the form of a Turnau shopping voucher worth €20.
"Turnau's positive development is primarily built on our young community members. Therefore, we want to particularly support their development," said Mayor Hofer.
