Great joy in the market town of Turnau:
Nicole Urschinger, a Jiu-Jitsu athlete and coach from Turnau, brought the world title back to Austria in her class at the Jiu-Jitsu World Championships in Thailand. This is the biggest success of Urschinger's career to date. Her daughter Tessa was also highly successful, winning a silver and a bronze medal at the World Championships.
Upon the arrival of the two in their hometown of Turnau, the local council also congratulated them on their remarkable success. "We are very proud of Nicole and Tessa Urschinger's sporting achievements. This is further proof of the outstanding commitment shown by our local Jiu-Jitsu club," said Mayor Stefan Hofer.
