The local council and sports club continued building the modern Turnau sports complex:

With the opening of the completely renovated changing room building at the sports field, another long-awaited project in Turnau has been realized. This new building provides the Turnau sports club with state-of-the-art facilities for its sporting activities and its vital youth development program. "We are consistently pursuing our goal of building a modern Turnau together with our community. The now officially opened project at the sports field is another step in that direction," said Mayor Stefan Hofer and Sports Club Chairman and Municipal Councilor René Gassner.

The municipality of Turnau, the state of Styria, the ASKÖ sports club, and the Styrian Football Association contributed €250,000 to the project. This was supplemented by numerous volunteer hours from club members and donations from the community. Mayor Hofer, who had personally championed the project, was appointed an honorary member of SV Turnau.

For the opening, which was also attended by ASKÖ President Gerhard Widmann and Football Association President Wolfgang Bartosch, a match was organized between former football greats from Styria and legends of SV Turnau.
