Turnau’s finances remain stable!

Financial statements for the financial year 2024 in circulation:

Next week, the municipal council of the market town of Turnau will be presented with the financial statements for the 2024 financial year for approval. This shows that Turnau's finances remain stable! Surpluses were generated in both the operating and financing budgets. The operating budget shows a healthy surplus of EUR 531,743.38, and the financing budget is also positive at EUR 146,840.09.

In 2015, Mayor Stefan Hofer took over a debt of 5,839,118.47 euros. In the 2024 financial statements, this was already reduced to 3,466,812.90 euros , and in the budget for 2025, the debt at the end of the year is only 3,075,300 euros. This means that the debt of the market town of Turnau has been halved in 10 years! In addition, the market town of Turnau managed to implement investments amounting to around 6.6 million euros between 2015 and 2024.

"Stable finances are very important to me. I am therefore very pleased with the positive figures in the current financial statements. This and the fact that we have been able to implement countless major projects in Turnau over the last 10 years mean that we are optimistic and motivated about the coming years," said Mayor Hofer.
