ORF Radio Styria hiking day along the Way of St. James

The Turnau Market Days, a festival for clubs, organizations, and the entire community, recently took place again at the Karlon-Bühel parking lot. This year, the organizers once again put together a diverse program. "The weather and atmosphere were perfect! A heartfelt thank you to our clubs and organizations for the outstanding execution, especially to our organizing committee head, Bernd Fladischer," said Mayor Stefan Hofer.

The festivities kicked off on Friday with an end-of-shift party featuring DJ Baron. On Saturday, a duck race took place along the Ganibach stream. Live music was provided by young musicians from the Kapfenberg Music School, the band "z'Aigners," and the group "Sulmtal Express." In addition, there was a bouncy castle, a zipline operated by the mountain rescue service, a turntable ladder truck from the Kapfenberg-Stadt fire department, rides in impressive sports cars, and much more.

A special highlight of the event was the ORF Radio Styria Hiking Day, which this year took place along the Turnau Way of St. James in conjunction with the market days. Fortified by a hearty breakfast from the Seidl Bakery, numerous hikers set off. Refreshments and rest stops along the route were provided by the Fritz and Lammer families, the Beekeeping Association, the Austrian Veterans' Association (ÖKB), the Gruber family, local farmers, and the parish. Father Anthony held a short service, accompanied by the Turnau hunting horn players. Local tourism officer Gitti Fladl was primarily responsible for the organization.
