Implemented on the occasion of “40 years of the summit cross on the Turnauer Hochanger”:

Even in his time, the legendary Styrian prince, Archduke Johann, enjoyed the wonderful natural beauty and magnificent mountain panorama of the Turnau Hochanger. Exactly 40 years ago, in September 1985, a summit cross was erected on the Hochanger. On the initiative of Turnau's tourism representative, Gitti Fladl, and in cooperation with the Ostereralm agricultural community, a unique panoramic panel was installed on the Hochanger to mark the anniversary. It now provides an even better panoramic view of this impressive region.

The plaque was produced by the flagship company HELDECO, owned by the Turnau entrepreneurial family Dettenweitz, who also contributed significantly to the project's financing. The official inauguration took place as part of the annual mountain mass at Hochanger. Mayor Stefan Hofer, LAbg., attended the ceremony along with a large delegation from the Turnau municipal council. "This project demonstrates once again: solidarity is Turnau's greatest strength. On behalf of everyone involved, I would like to thank Gitti Fladl, Pert Payer, and Christian Rechberger," Hofer said happily. With glorious weather and a great atmosphere, the day concluded with an alpine festival on the Ostereralm.
